Winter update...

We hope you've all had a great start to the New Year, I know we definitely have here at Dewerstone! January turned out to be a very hectic month at HQ, dispatching orders, building our new in-office bouldering wall, creating the D bar, making a start on designing new products and generally ensuring our new HQ looked epic for you guys on our open day.

The first Sunday in February was a huge day for us - a kind of 'd' day, in fact.  We cut the ribbon on our shiny new Headquarters in Ivybridge and welcomed the world in to see what we've been busy creating over the winter. People travelled from all over the UK to share the day with us and it was great to see so many supporters - both old and new - meaning our HQ was busy for the whole day. The weather held out for us so we could go ahead with our winter BBQ-related plans, and a great day was had by all. And we were even made a very special Dewerstone cake to mark the occasion - thanks to Cathy for that one!  And thanks to everyone else who came along to the open day; your support means the world to us.

During the open day, the bouldering wall proved very popular with the visiting climbers, who worked on picking the best routes and techniques all day, and it was great to see our supporters and ambassadors encouraging each other to climb as hard as they could. Whilst our dedicated climbers were cranking away, the D bar was up and running too with our various ambassadors serving hot and cold drinks all through the day to thirsty climbers and spectators!

As well as making the most of our new facilities, many of you also came up to watch Phil give his screen printing demonstration, showing how many of our products are hand printed on Dartmoor, and I know some of you also got a sneak peak at one of our awesome new designs - which you will all be seeing on brand new products in the near future! We are very excited for what this year holds and if the last month and a bit is anything to go by then it will be an amazing year!
